Cesca Piano Service is run by owner and technician David S. Cesca RPT. David brings to his business many years of experience in the industry. He has tuned, restored, and repaired numerous pianos over the years.

A Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild for over 30 years, David previously was a Piano Technician with the University of Oregon School of Music in Eugene Oregon. David is now the official staff Piano Technician at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  In addition to the responsibilities at UCSB Music Department, David tunes for performances at UCSB Campbell Hall for many internationally renowned artists. He also maintains a private clientele of music teachers, students and professional musicians.

Our services include more than tuning. Temperature and humidity changes throughout the year and playing the piano necessitate action adjustments (regulation), tone regulation and hammer voicing and other repairs in addition to tuning. Extreme environmental conditions may even optionally require the installation of protective string covers and humidity control systems.

In addition to the above services, we also offer piano cleaning, Dampp-Chaser humidity control system installation, purchase consulting and appraisals.
